Florian Spahiu has worked in decorative faux painting for over thirty years. He began his career as a decorative painter in Europe and soon recognized that faux finishes offered a better channel for his creative artistry. Florian realized his aspiration during a Byzantic house restoration in Albania. His intention to start the a decorative painting company was cultivated and grew from there.

Florian moved to Athens, Greece, where he attended the School of Art taught by Italian artist Farinola. He painted in Greece for ten years, applied his knowledge of faux finishing, and extended his talent. Next, Florian completed private study in Italy, and became skilled in Italian plaster techniques. Then he moved to Florida, where he completed his training in Italian plasters, earning certificates in faux effects, European marbling, and wood graining through master courses taught by Mike McNeil. Florian has lived in Florida with his family for over twenty years.
